Compute the time it would take for the colonists to travel. - The best speed was by a horse drawn coach or sailing ship at 10 m.p.h. Use a map to determine some distances. For example the distance from Boston to Lexington. Figure out the time it would take to travel the distance by taking the distance divided by 10 (the speed traveled) to equal the time.
