Ancient Egypt Thutmose III (Menkheperre)
1493 - 1481

Thutmose III followed Hatshepsuts. When he became ruler he had Hatshepsuts's name erased from all public inscriptions and replaced them with his own name, or that of his ancestors. Thutmose III spent his time fighting Syria and Palestine. He also fought the Hurrians in Mitanni. Thutmose's reign was one of intense battle with one military campaign followed by another.
