The Carolina Renaissance Festival is held annually on weekends in October and November. This is one of the largest Renaissance festivals in the country. An average 195,000 visitors come each season. Twenty-five acres are devoted to attractions.
History comes alive with art and crafts, games, and jousting. Other attractions include juggling, aerial silks, acrobatics, and falconry.
Over 100 vendors sell everything from jewelry, leather goods, blown glass to chain mail. Enjoy meat on a stick plus stews and chowders served in bread bowls. Giant turkey legs are a favorite. Top off your meal with a large assortment of sweets.
Knights battle in jousts. Fourteen stages have shows throughout the day featuring music, dance, comedy shows and circus variety shows.
