Chapter 3\u00a0A Caucus-Race and a Long Tale Summary<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The sea of tears becomes crowded with animals and birds that have been caught by the rising current. Finally, Alice swims out of the tears. She and the other small animals try to dry themselves by having a \u201cCaucus-Race.\u201d The Dodo marks out a course, sets everyone in place, and yells \u201cgo.\u201d The animals run for half an hour until the Dodo declares the race over. Since all animals are winners in this strange race, Alice passes mints to all the animals, leaving herself without a prize. Now dry, the Mouse says he will tell its tale. Alice confuses \u201ctale\u201d and \u201ctail’ causing a stir. Finally, Alice frightens the animals away by talking of dogs and cats.
