Chapter 11 Who Stole the Tarts? Summary

The Gryphon takes Alice to court to observe the trial of the Knave of Hearts who is accused of stealing the tarts. The jury consists of several of the animals Alice has met in her journey including Bill the Lizard. The White Rabbit is the trumpeter, and the Queen and King of Hearts are the judges. As Alice watches the proceedings, she begins to grow and is scolded by the Dormouse. The trial is a bunch of nonsense where none of the witnesses know anything about the tarts.
