Last week I shared an idea on how to make paper bag trees with apples for vocabulary words. This post is an extension of that project.
3D Root Word Trees
I saw a craft pin on Pinterest for making a fall tree out of a small paper bag. [Here’s the link to the original pin.] Ideas started bouncing around in my head about ways to turn this craft into an educational project for my students. I decided that if we used full-sized grocery bags to make larger trees, my students could add leaves with words or even 3D ghosts to their trees. The ghosts would have enough space to write not only words containing the root but definitions and sentences with the words as well.
Here is the link to download the printable that includes instructions for making the project as well as the needed printables.
